I found myself liking this film despite how unbelievable it seems. "Kit," portrayed by Gael García Bernal, joins his friends "Tom" (Tom Hardy) and "Theo" (Charlie Cox) for dinner when their table gets placed near a group celebrating a bachelorette party. Kit’s tasked with giving the bride-to-be a farewell kiss, but this gesture turns out to be unexpectedly intense, causing her to run off. Natalia Verbeke plays "Carmen," who is visibly affected by the incident, and her fiancé, “Barnaby” (James D'Arcy), notices it too. As things unfold, Kit and Carmen have another encounter, and what follows isn’t predictable—it deviates significantly from my assumptions. The unusual situation unfolds in a surprisingly fresh and inventive way. There's a spark between Bernal and Verbeke, and even James D'Arcy delivers an acceptable performance despite his somewhat stiff demeanor. Viewers hoping for substantial appearances from Hardy or Cox might be disappointed, as they have limited screen time; however, I appreciated the cleverness of the story’s progression. It isn’t a masterpiece, but the premise stands out from many others.
