Door Lock is a Korean thriller, reworked from Sleep Tight, that tells the story from the point of view of the person being targeted and creates a feeling of suspense, even though it takes some time to get going and the main character isn’t particularly memorable. Though the mystery holds your attention with its skillful deceptive tactics, the way the police are shown—as uncaring and quick to judge—becomes irritating. The movie is an unsettling reminder that we need to be careful and defend our personal space in a world where safety feels more fragile.
