I was just a kid when this film arrived. Back then, Doom 3 consumed me; my parents couldn't stop me from playing it. They had some religious beliefs, and when I reached the section of the game where pentagrams were summoning demons, I got worried and mentioned it to my mom. Normally, I could play whatever games I wanted, provided they didn’t feature demons or satanism. The reasoning was that "demons might somehow affect your life negatively, and you wouldn't want that." Consequently, I had to give Doom 3 back. However, by the end of that same year, my room was filled with posters, magazines, and other items related to Doom 3—it truly was an all-consuming interest. I collected everything connected to Doom, except for the game itself. So when this movie came along, naturally, I was very excited about it. Discovering that they had altered the storyline from demonic creatures to a scientific mishap made me even more eager; I convinced my dad to take me to the midnight premiere of DOOM at our local cinema. It’s one of my fondest recollections. We were the only people in the theater. It was an enjoyable film.
