Adam McKay's satirical screenplay for "Don't Look Up" tackles numerous important topics with humor, and it’s likely to elicit strong reactions from audiences—either they’ll find it very rewarding or be quite upset by its content. Netflix has produced a striking and controversial film that could contend for awards, featuring an impressive group of actors. The movie is full of allegories, references, and jokes about media, government, social and political issues, and environmental concerns; McKay doesn't shy away from anything, which will probably shape how people feel about it. The performances are all remarkably good, but the film would likely lose viewers’ attention if not for Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence in the lead roles. It makes for an enjoyable movie to watch during the holidays. Rating: B+
