Given my appreciation for Bob Dylan and D.A. Pennebaker’s films, seeing this felt like an obvious choice, particularly considering its age. I once had the chance to witness Dylan perform live in Ann Arbor, Michigan, at Hill Auditorium following his serious pericarditis episode; he was backed by Kenny Wayne Shepherd then. Still, it would have been incredible to experience him during that earlier British tour. I really wanted to award this a flawless score, but I had to take off a point because of Dylan’s jokes directed at Donovan.
