The film shares a sensibility with dark comedies such as “Nurse Betty.” Thomas Haden Church is easy to root for as an ordinary guy who isn't particularly sharp, and Elisabeth Shue remains attractive, though that aspect isn’t emphasized. Keith David appears in a smaller part, and so does Neil Young—or rather, M. Emmet Walsh, I think. I found it entertaining while watching, but there wasn’t anything memorable enough to make me want to see it again. It provided simple enjoyment for the moment. The movie has a running time of 1 hour and 30 minutes and was filmed in Andover, which is northwest of Boston. GRADE: C
