While "Dogman" has some problems with its tone and story progression, it exceeded expectations. Caleb Landry Jones gives what is arguably his finest performance to date, captivating the audience as he embodies the complicated, deeply relatable main character who discovers genuine affection and kindness within the animal kingdom. The final section feels uneven and doesn't consistently emphasize the movie’s core ideas, yet the experience remains worthwhile and conveys significant insights about people. Rating: B
