It was an enjoyable film, though I don’t anticipate revisiting it, and I can suggest it to others. There's a seizure warning because there are multiple sequences with very bright flashes—they actually made me feel sick. Christina Ricci really elevates the movie; they absolutely needed a talented performer for the demanding role of someone experiencing mental instability, and she delivers an outstanding performance. The film successfully conveys a sense of unease alongside its progression from focusing on her psychological state to embracing broader conspiracy theories. John Cusack provides solid assistance here, raising as many questions as he resolves. As with any effective mystery, it concludes in a reasonably satisfying way. There aren’t significant flaws to point out, but the secondary characters are rather dull. It doesn't quite manage to transform an interesting premise into something exceptional; instead, it settles for being merely average.
