It’s good to know that no one was hurt during filming of this movie. This Shaw Brothers film from 1979 is a complete delight throughout. The plot isn't complex, the humor lands perfectly, and Lau Kar-leung’s action design is exceptional – I’d even say it surpasses anything Bob Fosse ever did, seriously. Those scenes where they fight without it appearing like they are fighting are truly impressive. It brought to mind Jackie Chan’s martial arts movies as well. With a rating of 10/10, this represents entertainment at its finest, made with such expertise and lightheartedness that it rises above typical genre limitations. Occasionally, the most enjoyable films are simply those that keep you smiling for an hour and a half.
