Piotr Polak, an animation artist, is trying to come up with something new for his publisher, Helena Englert, after she turned down his concept featuring a playful green dinosaur named “Diplo.” He resignedly begins erasing his work and starts over. However, within the world he’s built, that simple act of rubbing out on paper creates chaos, sending the frightened young creature scrambling to escape. Luckily, the artist's frequent interruptions prevent total destruction, giving "Diplo" a chance to connect with some friends who might be able to help them link their realm to ours and prevent the erasure of their vibrant world. Beyond potentially inspiring children to try drawing themselves instead of relying on screens, this is a genuinely entertaining story that blends animation with occasional live-action sequences, featuring appealing characters and lots of humorous moments. It offers a fresh perspective on the multiverse idea, supported by a somewhat villainous magician, an impressively pink cat, and, of course, the sheer appeal of seeing green dinosaurs living behind a wall constructed from a giant dinosaur’s jawbone. The film is inventive, imaginative, and quite enjoyable—though perhaps not ideal for very young viewers.
