It’s a standard Bollywood movie designed purely for enjoyment. There are many familiar plot points and tangled connections, along with humor and musical numbers. I think there's something satisfying about poetry when it delivers what we anticipate, and this film works in much the same way. The filmmaking feels spot-on, the performances are close to being exaggerated but that actually fits well, and the costumes and dancing were enjoyable to watch. The considerable length of nearly 170 minutes passed quickly, which is a real credit to everyone involved. It's definitely worth setting aside time for an evening when you want to escape from everything else going on.
