In "Die Hard 2," John McClane feels less like a relatable person and more like an invincible, all-star action figure. He seems to possess limitless stamina, consistently finding himself in unfortunate circumstances, yet always manages to make the perfect decision when it matters most, even choosing to face dangerous terrorists entirely on his own. Despite this shift, the film remains a remarkably well-made and fast-moving action movie; the thrilling pace doesn't let up at all, which was essential for maintaining its impact, and the violent sequences are truly spectacular and top-notch.
