This film portrays Princess Diana’s story, focusing on the romance aspects of her final two years. It turned out to be better than I expected going in. While I thought Jessica Chastain could have also done well as Diana, Naomi Watts truly made the most of her role. The movie wasn't lacking due to the acting, characters, or performances; it’s just that I can’t quite pinpoint why it worked so well—different people offer different explanations, but I did find myself enjoying it. This was a real event that occurred when I was young, and I didn't know the full story until seeing this film now. ‘‘There's about 5 billion people on this planet who can say they love me! But is there one who can stay with me?’’ Ultimately, Diana was just like anyone else, and I don’t see any fault in her romantic relationships during those last days. As a movie, it focuses on a limited number of characters, which is actually positive because it allowed the film to concentrate on that specific relationship. However, I was waiting for the tragic ending scene, but it never arrived. I thought that could have been the most impactful part, something that would have evoked emotion. So, its absence felt like a disappointment; the movie didn’t include the car crash scene. The real reasons behind what happened remain unclear and puzzling. Naveen Andrews did well, but he didn't resemble Hasnat Khan very much. There are likely some imperfections in the film, as with most biographical movies—people often find fault with them. Those who witnessed these events firsthand might notice inaccuracies. But I think changes are sometimes necessary when adapting a real-life story for the screen. Like any romantic biography, it’s something that anyone who appreciates those kinds of stories can enjoy, and I certainly did. It wasn't quite the masterpiece it could have been.
