It’s perplexing that a film suitable for showcasing Scott Adkins' martial arts abilities and action talent hasn’t been produced with more care. While some of his previous movies have been good, "Diablo" falls short. A feeling of low quality is apparent throughout the movie. The predictable storyline about a daughter missing her father, the cartoonish villain reminiscent of Captain Hook, and poorly executed fight sequences all contribute to its shortcomings. I gave up around the halfway point, frustrated. Ultimately, I wanted to enjoy it because I appreciate Scott Adkins' work, but unfortunately, the film is quite disappointing in many ways.
