This movie, The Devil Beneath, isn't great; you could describe it as quite poor using Australian terms. I was able to overlook some elements that felt overly concerned with contemporary social issues, but the story itself drags on and the special effects are truly awful, which really detract from the film’s quality. The performances were generally acceptable, however so many other aspects fail that it's difficult to find much good to say about it. Ultimately, it's a simple horror film originating in Australia that doesn't quite succeed.
