I found this to be a really good and entertaining submarine film set during World War II. It’s among my preferred American war movies produced at that time, and Cary Grant gives what I consider the most intense portrayal I've ever witnessed from him. There's some truly wonderful and thrilling work on display, supported by a strong ensemble of talented actors who were always welcome when watching films from that period. This is definitely something worthwhile for movie fans willing to reconsider those who think Grant was simply a performer who went through his roles without much effort.
