The sheer amount spent on this production is disappointing given what’s presented onscreen. It's undeniable that the film has a polished visual style; clearly, a significant sum was invested in its appearance. However, it suffers from being rather uninspired. I found myself surprised by the lead actor’s lack of charisma and the rest of the performers don’t seem to elevate the material either. The final product feels lifeless and any attempts at generating excitement come across as artificial. Despite not feeling able to suggest that people see it, I can't rate it any less than five due to its visual appeal, even if I didn't find it particularly entertaining.
