This was not an enjoyable film; I doubt I’ll choose to view it again, and I wouldn’t suggest it unless someone really wants to experience a substandard retelling of "Home Alone," but played backward. I feel like I might have encountered this movie before, though I can't place it, and I used to read “Dennis the Menace” in the newspaper comics—though even then, I wasn’t particularly fond of it. Perhaps I’m just becoming a curmudgeon, but the child’s actions are often appalling and seem malicious. The older man isn't pleasant either, although his behavior seems largely defensive. I honestly can’t recall the predictable feel-good ending where the kid deceives the old man, only to repeat the act immediately afterward. It has a disturbing quality similar to watching a documentary about serial killers; this character displays sociopathic traits, and I'm thankful we don't have people like that around today, as far as I know.
