It was an enjoyable film, though it’s unlikely I’ll revisit it, and I can still suggest it to others. I'm not generally fond of Vince Vaughn’s performances, but this feels different from his usual work. He typically portrays characters who are immature and self-centered, and that element is present here as well; however, the story places him in a situation where he’s trying to change, motivated by having over five hundred children. The premise itself carries the movie forward effectively; it's emotionally resonant and genuinely touching, contributing significantly to the overall viewing experience. I believe almost any capable performer could have played the part, possibly even more successfully. The character is difficult to like, and Vaughn’s presence doesn’t really improve things. It would likely be better suited as a television series, allowing for greater exploration of his relationships with the various children, which proved to be the most engaging aspect. It's worth seeing once, but I don't anticipate many people wanting to watch it again.
