Déjà Vu manages to be an interesting mix of science fiction elements and action sequences, and it really highlights Denzel Washington's abilities as an actor. He plays ATF agent Doug Carlin in a way that’s captivating and layered, giving the character real substance. The film itself is impressive; director Tony Scott uses sophisticated visual effects to build a smooth story examining complicated ideas about time and how we remember things.
