The pacing lagged at times, however, the suspenseful aspects proved enjoyable, and I appreciated the main characters despite their romantic storyline feeling contrived and superfluous—a problem addressed in the Export Version, which also cut some of the more graphic content. Dario Argento’s signature visual style was evident, featuring striking close-ups, and the gruesome effects were impressively unsettling. It wasn't a standout film, but I still managed to be entertained by it. 3.75/5
