It's definitely one I’d enjoy seeing again and would suggest to others. I think this might be my top pick for shark movies. While “Jaws” was certainly impactful in its time, I find myself preferring this one. That doesn't necessarily make it superior; it’s similar to how pizza is more popular than salad even though salad is healthier. The main reason I like it so much is that it presents a survival scenario set apart from civilization, and the sharks are portrayed as intelligent—actively hunting the humans, which elevates it into a creature feature about a deadly predator. The actors do a really solid job, and you’ll probably recognize quite a few of them, regardless of whether they've appeared in Marvel films. I do have some minor issues with the separate storylines, especially when they seem deliberate, but ultimately, it functions well. There’s also this interesting dynamic where whenever someone is eaten by a shark, the remaining characters seize the chance to advance their own survival—a fitting display of resilience. This film thrives on hardship rather than relying on character flaws, which I appreciate in movies. The initial setup itself could be considered an act of foolishness. If you’re into sharks attacking people, underwater facilities like "Rapture," or enjoyed “The Meg,” then this is worth checking out.
