It’s goofy, zany and completely over-the-top... but still entertaining. I thought 'Deck the Halls' was a good time. Danny DeVito is definitely the main attraction in this film. Honestly, if he wasn’t in it, I might have given it a worse score; I will say that. He’s funny to watch, and the scenes centered around him are pretty solid. Matthew Broderick doesn't really stick with you, but he does alright. Kristin Chenoweth is probably the strongest of the supporting cast, though ultimately it all comes down to DeVito. I said those central moments work well with DeVito, but other parts feel inconsistent. The ending scene, which features Chenoweth, was questionable – it could have gone either way, and I barely liked it. The humor is good, as is the story—as silly as it gets. I also really appreciated how they handled the Christmas lights. I got some enjoyment out of this movie.
