While not Park Chan-wook’s strongest film, "Decision to Leave" remains an interesting and complex narrative centered on obsession and what could be described as “forbidden love.” The movie initially holds your attention with a captivating opening section where the core concept and the developing romantic elements seem well aligned. However, the pace falters in the extended second half; familiar plot points are revisited without delivering the same effect. Unexpected moments of humor offer some relief, though these eventually disappear from the film’s tone. Rating: B-
