It’s an over-the-top production that manages to be enjoyable, largely because of Jason Statham and the fairly good racing scenes—though those are sometimes marred by shaky camerawork and rapid cutting. Joan Allen is a welcome addition as the antagonist, and Ian McShane is always a plus, even in a smaller part. It’s not exceptional cinema, but it fits comfortably within what we've come to expect from Paul W.S. Anderson. **3.5/5**
