The film "Dear Zoe" attempts to portray grief with gentle sentiments, but it also suffers from being overly predictable and contains choices by director Gren Wells that lessen the emotional resonance of a story reliant on narration. It’s an unremarkable movie, ultimately more rewarding for the exceptional acting displayed by its ensemble than for its conventional script. Kweku Collins is noteworthy in his first role, Theo Rossi showcases a versatility he doesn't often get to display, and Sadie Sink further solidifies her reputation as a uniquely captivating and skilled performer.
