The narrative isn’t its greatest strength, but the humor makes *'Deadpool & Wolverine'* a really good film! There are some truly excellent jokes throughout, especially those relating to what has happened recently behind the scenes with Wade Wilson's character. As you would anticipate with Ryan Reynolds in the part, the jokes come frequently and there’s hardly any time to process one before another one arrives. That approach didn’t always work out so well previously, like with *'Deadpool 2'*, but this time it works really well. Reynolds delivers a performance that is classic Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool; he’s great in the role. It's good to see Hugh Jackman return as Wolverine, and while he isn’t the main focus, he still does very well. Emma Corrin also makes an impressive debut into the MCU. As I mentioned earlier, I do feel that the story could have been better – but not because it’s bad. What's shown is still enjoyable to watch; it just doesn’t quite reach the same standard as the comedic parts. It was a fun time, regardless. Do I prefer this one over the original from 2016? Probably, though only by a little bit.
