This movie, 'Deadlock', exceeds expectations given its shortcomings. It’s a peculiar film that tends to move slowly and occasionally feels without direction, though it does manage to align with the themes suggested by its name. The acting from Mario Adorf, Anthony Dawson, and Marquard Bohm is commendable and largely responsible for my rating. Visually, it holds up well considering it was made in 1970. I understand why some viewers might appreciate this film more than I did; however, it doesn’t quite achieve what it appeared to be striving for. The setting is interesting, the poster looks great, and the soundtrack isn't particularly memorable. Nevertheless, I consider it a 'good' movie – though barely so.
