It's a follow-up installment, exhibiting all the characteristics you’d expect from one. Surprisingly, it isn't particularly disappointing. There are moments when it feels cheesy, consistently exaggerated, and brings in characters who seem even less believable than those in the initial film. Nevertheless, it provides entertainment; the production quality is high, the visuals are impressive, the actors were well-chosen, the effects are wild, and the direction is dependable. It’s a respectable continuation of the story, without question.
