It’s simply astonishing. There's something almost universal about the complicated feelings people have regarding identical twins. Part of you envies that special bond they possess—that unique closeness and a kind of wonder in having someone who is essentially their mirror image—but at the same time, that very connection can feel unsettling and even frightening. I’m not familiar with his other work; I haven't viewed 'Scanners' or 'Naked Lunch,' both made by my countryman, so I can’t really determine if this feeling applies to those films either. Still, it would be difficult to name a more impressive sequence of horror movies than the ones Cronenberg created in 'Videodrome', 'The Dead Zone', 'The Fly'...and now, 'Dead Ringers'.
