It turned out to be a surprisingly effective thriller. Colin Farrell’s portrayal of “Victor” is strong, he embodies a charming figure who has managed to gain access to a criminal organization's inner circle with the intention of getting revenge on Terrence Howard, who ordered an attack that led to the death of Victor’s loyal companion, Dominic Cooper—who was unaware of Victor’s true purpose. What Victor doesn't realize is that he's being watched by Naomi Rapace, a neighbor who figures out his plan and insists he assist her in enacting her own vengeance or risk having his scheme revealed. The writing isn't poor, and the pacing keeps the surprises coming at a rapid rate, though Dominic Cooper’s accent—and honestly, his stiff acting—is distracting. The action sequences go on for too long; as is typical of modern action films, one individual seems capable of defeating numerous armed opponents—leading to a rather predictable conclusion.
