I’m a fan of films from the eighties, but I would suggest skipping this one unless you’re interested in seeing just one particular special effects sequence—the scene where Randi dies—which is possibly worth watching. The conversations feel awkward and the performances aren't very good; that includes Treat Williams, who I usually enjoy, though it seems like he wasn’t putting much effort into his role this time around. I’ve never been impressed by Joe Piscopo in any of his films either. However, if you appreciate the atmosphere of an eighties movie—the soundtrack, the clothing styles, and hairstyles—and a vintage red Chevy convertible from the nineteen sixties is something that appeals to you, then it might be worth checking out.
