It's an enjoyable film I’d happily see again and feel comfortable suggesting to others. Keri Russell delivers a memorable performance as an eccentric character, and this picture feels like what "Paranormal Activity" ought to have been, blended with a well-executed Slenderman story. The storyline has a genuinely rewarding sense of intrigue—the increasingly elaborate protective measures alongside a person who embraces conspiracy theories in earnest are particularly effective. A significant aspect of the enjoyment comes from how grounded and realistic everything feels. The movie’s atmosphere alone makes it worthwhile viewing.
