Secondly, the director failed to distinguish effectively between scenes set in the present and those depicting earlier events. The writing felt weak at times, and the characters weren’t introduced well. A comparison was made that equated the Prophet Jesus—may God forbid it—with the devil. Certain plot elements were told rather than shown. There appeared to be prejudice against Native Americans portrayed within the film. An acceptance of immoral behavior also seemed to be encouraged. The director didn't establish Ben's location when law enforcement arrived, which was confusing. Ultimately, the unconventional storytelling style proved detrimental to the narrative. Consequently, I give the movie a rating of 1 out of 10; it’s the minimum score possible. If given the option, I would have rated it even lower, at zero out of ten.
