This film adaptation of Daredevil isn’t simply flawed; it actively diminishes a strong character by reducing him to a collection of overused tropes, seemingly borrowing from The Crow, Spider-Man, The Matrix, and the Batman films directed by Burton and Schumacher, all in an obvious bid for teenage appeal. It's unfair to hold Ben Affleck responsible, as he performs adequately within the limitations imposed on him by a weak screenplay and uninspired visual elements. The production’s shortcomings ultimately undermine his efforts just as much as they do the project itself.
