This film, made in May of 2022, feels like it belongs alongside movies such as “Dead Calm” and “Caught Inside.” While I found those films more appealing, this one does have its own distinct qualities and some interesting aspects. It’s accurate that a sense of emptiness and even sadness permeates much of the narrative, but that actually aligns with the story's central idea, and thankfully, the final portion is quite lively while the conclusion provides a small measure of optimism. Some reviewers have pointed out that certain events seem far-fetched, but they aren’t so if you take into account the main character’s age, her personality, and her state of mind—she doesn't appear to be concerned with whether she lives or dies. Then there’s the element of pride leading to a decline on the part of those opposing her, along with a bit of fortunate circumstance. The actor Ray Liotta passed away in his sleep while filming in Santo Domingo on May 26th; he was 67 years old. It's fortunate that they had already completed all of his scenes. The movie has a running time of 1 hour and 41 minutes and was filmed in the Santo Domingo region, on the southern side of the Dominican Republic. GRADE: B-/B
