It’s reasonable to expect someone named “Zephyr” to be unconventional, so when Hassie Harrison's character does whatever she feels like, whenever she wants, it shouldn’t come as a shock. This includes a brief encounter with the rather bland but attractive realtor "Moses" (Josh Heuston) before she leaves without a trace, heading off to surf. The problem is that she doesn’t have a fin key and has to ask the somewhat shady “Tucker” (Jai Courtney) for one. Soon after, she finds herself tied to a bed on a boat alongside "Heather" (Ella Newton), both seemingly about to be featured in a truly terrifying horror film – fueled by Vegemite sandwiches on plain white bread, no less! With their captor holding all the power, things don’t look promising for these two women. Fortunately, “Zephyr” is brave and quick-thinking, while the hapless and lovesick "Moses" worries about her disappearance and tries to locate her. Will they escape what's happening? Will he manage to find her before it's too late? Honestly, there’s nothing ambiguous about how things will end, and the storytelling feels disjointed, jumping back and forth in a way that drags out the plot with increasingly unbelievable situations leading inevitably to the final outcome. Despite some striking underwater photography, this could have been an enjoyable thirty minutes if Sean Byrne had stuck with his initial vision and allowed it to unfold naturally; however, once it begins to repeat itself, it becomes overly ridiculous as coincidences play too significant a role. It’s disappointing because there was something good there initially.
