The film picks up after the preceding "Omen," with the central demonic figure, portrayed by Jonathan Scott-Taylor, now a teenager. He’s enrolled in a military academy alongside his relative, “Mark,” played by Lucas Donat, and is being raised by his uncle, William Holden, and aunt, Lee Grant. My feeling is that this sequel suffers because viewers are already familiar with the horror tropes it employs—the distinctive violin score, the frequent extreme close-ups of faces, and the use of an animal, specifically a crow, to signify his presence. Consequently, there’s not much in the way of suspense or surprise. Holden's performance doesn't live up to previous work, the script fails to enhance the overall sense of threat, and the final scene lacks any genuine tension. It provides some entertainment, but it simply isn’t as good as the first one.
