The story unfolds in a period "before many of us were born," taking viewers to the dwelling of the “Casper Caveman,” who stirs from sleep with his dinosaur companion, "Fido," and begins searching for sustenance. Simultaneously, "Daffy" is leisurely playing in a pond, unaware that he’s about to become prey. A series of fast-moving events and amusing sound effects ensue as this possibly unintelligent pair of dinosaur and caveman attempt to capture their intended meal. The soundtrack, featuring selections by Dvorak, Mendelssohn, and even Harry Warren, contributes to the overall enjoyment.
