I found this to be an enjoyable experience. *Da 5 Bloods* is quite good; it held my attention from start to finish. The visuals are striking—there are numerous beautifully composed shots, and the overall presentation of the movie is excellent. The length might have benefited from some trimming, as war movies often run long. I must admit that the beginning and ending didn't resonate with me as much as the central portion did, though there’s still plenty to appreciate. I also share the opinion that some of the actual historical footage feels out of place. The performances are all very strong. Delroy Lindo really stood out for me; he delivers an exceptional portrayal of Paul, one that will stick with me. Chadwick Boseman (as Norman) is always a welcome presence, and Clarke Peters (Otis), Norm Lewis (Eddie), and Isiah Whitlock Jr. (Melvin) are all easy to like in their parts. I really appreciate those four actors in the main roles, but it’s disappointing that things turned out differently; I wish the original cast had been assembled. It would have been amazing to see Samuel L. Jackson, Denzel Washington, Giancarlo Esposito and John David Washington in this film! It isn't flawless, but it definitely kept me entertained.
