I really enjoyed it! Movies featuring singing and dancing generally aren’t something I gravitate toward, but Joe Wright and his team managed to create a genuinely enjoyable experience. Everything looks wonderful, from the scenery to the clothing. The musical pieces are consistently well-done as well. The acting is superb. Like many others, I thought Peter Dinklage's work as Tyrion in *Game of Thrones* was fantastic – he’s my favorite character from that series – and I’ve been eager to see what he does next; he certainly didn’t disappoint this time around! Haley Bennett and Kelvin Harrison Jr. are also very good, both delivering performances full of feeling. Ben Mendelsohn is memorable too, even though his part isn't large. This was the first movie I saw in a cinema by myself, which – as much as I enjoyed that for me personally – hopefully indicates this 2021 film will do well at the box office because it deserves to. That said, I’ve since learned that the official UK release is tomorrow... so maybe (hopefully) that explains why. I will mention that the ending wasn't quite as impactful as everything else, but that feels like a minor criticism since I still loved the final moments – and the rest of the film, for that matter.
