Cube Zero concludes the Cube series, which centers around individuals finding themselves trapped within massive, multiroom cubes full of deadly obstacles, with no memory of how they arrived or a way to escape. This installment offers insight into what occurs beyond the cube itself—though only briefly touched upon in Hypercube—but it's important to note that as the initial film in chronological order, its methods might not align with those depicted in the previous two installments. Viewers will gain some understanding of Kazan’s history from the first Cube movie. If you anticipate a happy resolution, this trilogy isn’t for you. The final scene is complicated and leaves things open to interpretation; who constitutes the heroes or villains may differ from your perspective after watching the other films. I found this film to be the least compelling of the three, as it spends considerable time detailing events outside the cube rather than exploring the characters within. Nevertheless, it’s still worthwhile to watch. Those unfamiliar with the earlier Cube movies should ideally view those first and save this one for last so that the information revealed here doesn't diminish their experience.
