I’m not entirely convinced about *Critters 3*. The creatures themselves and the special effects used to depict them are still entertaining, and the setting—a run-down apartment building—works well. Nevertheless, my attention flagged on several occasions. Ultimately, I believe I found it enjoyable, but just barely. Aimee Brooks delivers a dependable performance in this 1991 film, as do the other actors involved. It’s interesting to spot Leonardo DiCaprio in his first movie role; while the part isn't particularly memorable, he shows promise. The character of Charlie, played by Don Keith Opper, seems somewhat out of place, although I appreciate having a familiar face from earlier installments. It’s surprising that this series managed to produce decent entries three times in a row; at least, it did for me. Now I'm curious to discover whether *Critters 4* can maintain this pattern.
