This American found-footage horror film, titled 'Creep,' shouldn't be mixed up with the 2004 British movie of the same name that takes place in Charing Cross Underground Station. The story centers on a filmmaker who responds to an advertisement requesting someone to document a man’s final days so he can leave something behind for his future child. While the writing and acting aren't particularly strong, the film's frequent use of irritating jump scares paradoxically creates some moments of suspense. It seems to be attempting to evoke comparisons with 'The Blair Witch Project,' but it doesn't come close to that movie’s quality because the production is flawed and the characters are difficult to sympathize with. The conclusion feels somewhat ridiculous, yet ultimately it manages to leave a lasting impression. ★★
