A group of skilled soldiers are dispatched to a clandestine military installation to recover scientists who seem to be under assault from escaped inmates. However, they discover something unexpected and unusual. Australia has been generating excellent horror films recently; regrettably, despite commendable attempts, this isn’t among them. Justin Dix's film—where he serves as director, co-producer, and co-writer— borrows heavily from numerous science fiction/horror movies to the degree that any original concepts within the story are almost lost. Elements reminiscent of films like *Aliens*, *Scanners*, and *Event Horizon* are incorporated in an attempt to keep things engaging, which is disappointing because the film’s limited budget doesn't appear to be a hindrance, as the first-time director demonstrates a talent for creating a particular mood. The setting where the characters struggle to survive is impressively designed with a sleek, futuristic metallic appearance. A sense of confinement, as alluded to in the title, is an important element of the story. The acting is adequate; there's nothing overly dramatic or silly on display. Despite its influences from other works, the film remains consistently watchable. It’s not something horror enthusiasts would choose for a relaxing evening, but it’s slightly better than average and suggests Dix possesses promise as a filmmaker. 6/10
