It’s remarkably silly, yet *‘Cradle 2 the Grave’* managed to be enjoyable. The film’s humor and the performers involved are its best qualities; I did find myself laughing on a few occasions. Jet Li as Su and DMX portraying Anthony carry the movie, though they aren't particularly striking characters, but they do have some decent moments. The parts I am most likely to recall belong to Anthony Anderson playing Tommy and Tom Arnold in the role of Archie—they provided much-needed comic relief that was effective. Chi McBride also delivers a good performance as Chambers; he felt like he should have been positioned as the primary antagonist. The storyline is nearly nonsensical, but those positive elements combined with the soundtrack and action sequences ensured I had a pleasant viewing experience – occasionally, that’s really all you need.
