This movie, *Coyote Ugly*, is pure entertainment and I appreciate it for exactly that. There isn’t much to analyze here; you'll either like it or dislike it, and I don’t think there’s much room for anything in between. It works well for me personally. The story moves along nicely, the performances are good, and the soundtrack is great – a shout-out to LeAnn Rimes. I believe I watched this years ago when I was younger; it had faded from my memory so much that it wasn’t recorded on my list. While watching, I didn't have a clear recollection of it, even though many scenes felt familiar and I recognized the actors. Piper Perabo does a good job in the main role, as do Maria Bello, John Goodman, and Adam Garcia. I just found out that this shares a director with *Kangaroo Jack*. David McNally directed both of these films and then left the industry—what a cool person.
