This is a superb little film featuring Laurel and Hardy, centering on Stan’s visit to Ollie, who unfortunately has a fractured leg and is in the hospital. Naturally, his presence leads to considerable chaos and damage within the medical facility. It's definitely from their best era of work. A real highlight is Billy Gilbert’s performance; he was consistently one of their most entertaining adversaries. On the downside, the visible rear-projection effects are noticeable, a consequence of producer Hal Roach facing some money problems during production.
