It felt like something special happened on an ordinary day. I found it to be a really good, low-budget thriller. I was genuinely taken by how different it was – the characters, the plot, even where they filmed it all stood out. It had the feel of a great B movie, but Kevin Bacon’s involvement helped elevate the storytelling. It's one of the shorter films around, straightforward yet powerful and convincing in its premise. Don't expect deep character arcs here; it unfolds over just one afternoon and concludes with a disturbing evening. There was no attempt to show what led up to events or hint at what might come next. Everything centered on these very unusual circumstances, where people’s lives intersect and hidden secrets are revealed, leaving them exposed. Set far from major cities, beyond the reach of most people, with only a few characters involved. The most appealing aspect was watching those two boys and their fearless, childlike approach as they stumbled into an unexpected adventure. They weren't your typical smart, tech-savvy city kids; these were genuine rural children. The suspenseful moments are often mixed with dark humor, and it’s hard to find something much better than that combination. I suggest watching it purely for entertainment purposes, but don’t consider adding it to a collection of essential films. 6½/10
