Hearing about a new Constantine movie made me revisit this film, likely for the first time since it came out on DVD. I don’t typically enjoy supernatural horror and my familiarity with the Hellblazer comics is limited, but I still managed to find some enjoyment in it. Considering when it was released—2004 or 2005—the special effects held up reasonably well; those scenes set in hell were quite striking, and I’m hoping the next installment delves deeper into that aspect. Reeves did a fine job with the main role. **3.0/5**
